As part of a TÜBİTAK project led by Prof. Dr. Özgür Karaoğlu, a faculty member in our faculty's Department of Geological Engineering, eight magma chambers were discovered in the Kula district of Manisa. The discovery determined that the magma chamber, located close to the surface, poses a risk of eruption due to factors such as earthquakes.
